Tomorrow morning I'm off to Indiana! I am taking my laptop with me, on the theory that I will find time to do some more writing. The ISI conference is all about economics, one topic with which I am not overwhelmingly familiar. This will give me a good opportunity to keep my mouth shut!

I wish I knew how the play was going at PHC. I suspect it is progressing splendidly.

Aww! If you want to know how the play is doing, I can *tell* you. :-) The first night was very calm and un-hitched. There was one slightly late entrance that nobody noticed except the actress and directors, and one lights moment that turned out a little more artistic than planned. The music worked, I think. Ben and I (mostly Ben) did the sound system for Emily H, Rachel P, and Paul M, and Lisa, in the back, kept radioing us to tell when the harp was too loud or something. The other funny thing was when somebody's radio got unplugged from its headphones barely into Act 1 and so the entire audience could hear the radio conversation! Deborah said she got back to it and all the actors were gathered around staring at it, trying to figure out what to do with it, as if it was some sort of young monster.

The audience reacted well. It laughed quite a bit, but not too much.

Gotta run--see you!

Why blog? Everyone's doing it. Normally that would be enough to keep me far, far away, but the concept is too cool. Spread your personal thoughts to the world - far better than talking, because you can say anything, and you don't need the courage to look someone in the eye. So, with these reasons in mind, I have embarked. Enjoy, or not, as the case may be. I know I will.
